Meet a Tech SEO Specialist!

Tell us a little bit about you!

Hey! I’m Oksana, and I’m Ukrainian – now working remotely from Poland with my family! I’m a Senior Tech SEO Specialist, which suits me perfectly as I love tasks that demand focus and attention, down to the smallest detail.  

Working at Skale, I also have the opportunity to engage with a diverse range of exciting clients and projects, ensuring that I am continually growing.

Lovely to meet you, Oksana! Tell us more about what your role involves…

A lot of variety! A typical day-to-day for me includes conducting technical audits, managing Looker Studio dashboards, performing internal linking audits, and seeking opportunities to enhance the internal linking strategy. 

Collaborating with content managers to address keyword cannibalization issues is something I do regularly, and I dive into Google Search Console (which I can confidently say is one of my favorite tasks!) to pinpoint issues related to indexing, crawling budget, Core Web Vitals, and schema markup.

At Skale, we also offer fractional technical SEO support – a service tailored for clients with extensive websites to make sure everything is operating smoothly and efficiently. The core objective involves conducting regular site health audits using crawling tools (I prefer Screaming Frog) and Google Search Console.

Finally, one of the most fun yet challenging aspects of my work involves website migrations. Regardless of the type of migration planned – whether it’s a CMS switch, a redesign, or a domain migration – preparation is essential. We plan the smallest details of each phase, from the initial planning stage to testing on the staging environment, launching day, and post-migration monitoring, ensuring seamless coordination among technical, content, and development teams.

Wow, that sounds pretty exciting! How involved are you with clients?

Our Growth Strategist team leads most of the interactions with clients, but I do get a chance to join calls and explain complicated technical issues and solutions in layman’s terms.

As part of the client onboarding process, we have a kick-off call where they get to meet each individual working on their account! It’s a great opportunity to build client relationships and super helpful to ask any questions and learn more about each SaaS business. 

What do you most enjoy about your role?

That’s a tough one! I would have to say error detection – delving into the crawl results, scanning subtle nuances within the Google Search Console, and uncovering patterns and discrepancies gives me a great sense of satisfaction!

I also love the challenges, freedom, and trust that Skale provides. Working with a diverse range of SaaS clients means continuously exposing me to new experiences and gaining knowledge. 

Participating in strategic and planning activities is good fun, I love engaging in those! Working with an awesome bunch of people to help create genuine success stories is a highlight of my role.

How much collaboration is involved with the wider team?

I’m lucky enough to work closely with all the other departments within Skale regularly! 

My workload is generated by the Growth Strategists, who delegate tasks based on client needs and deadlines. 

As one of the go-to people for all things Tech, I get to work with colleagues who are also experts in their area of SEO. Whether we are devising strategies, analysing competitors, or managing content and links, I genuinely believe that collective expertise from each department is the key to our success. Working with like-minded colleagues who share the same values and perspectives on work processes and, life in general, is a great feeling!
